Goodbye September, Hello October! π»
Spooky Season is upon us! Orders are rolling in for BOO-cuterie boards & I couldnβt be more excited!
However, due to recent events, l feel there is an issue I do need to address entering the 2022-2023 Holiday Season ππ¦ππ₯ I have been trying to avoid this post but itβs time. YES!! My product prices have increased. This should come as no surprise considering where we stand as an economy/nation! I have had the price of my product questioned & have outright not been paid for a job(s) due to an assumption that I am overcharging. Nothing could be further from the truth! I charge accordingly based on my cost, gas, mileage & time.
I am a very SMALL business. I am a mother of 4 who turned a passion into a side gig. What I havenβt done while growing my business and supporting this community is take advantage of anyone. If anything, I have lost money trying to people please. I donβt know how many of you frequent a grocery store but the prices are ever changing. And theyβre increasing not decreasing. I could quote you a job this week and you can bet your bottom dollar by next week more than one item has doubled if not tripled in cost. Disgusting. I know.
Building charcuterie boards, party platters etc is not a small task if youβre fully invested in providing quality product.
From the moment an order is placed (even when itβs very last minute) I immediately dive head first into it. I spend countless hours looking up/researching ideas, etc to make your order PERFECT. I ask for specific colors/theme and I become a huntress for all of the things. The things to make your event/moment perfect. Special. Customizable. I take my time combing through various grocery stores, markets, craft stores & party stores to find the perfect additions. Because YOUR event is special and I want my product to reflect that. So yes, I absolutely pour my heart and soul into these boards & platters.
Considering we live in a rural area I have to take a day to travel out of town to shop. This means Bryan/College Station, The Woodlands, Houstonβ¦I do not purchase a lot in bulk as I pride myself on serving fresh goods. Another factor is fuel. While gas prices are finally dropping, I do still have to incorporate this into my cost. Especially considering I provide a front door delivery service!
Rarely are clients asked to meet.
Again, HOURS & DAYS are spent on these boards. I provide a level of service that is like no other & one that comes from my heart . All with an intention to make your celebratory event as memorable & special as can be.
I feel my services are just as adequate as the list below and Iβm sure when these services are purchased you are happy to pay their cost. My services should be no different & my kindness should not be taken advantage of!
