What a way to start the new year....
We are so excited to see so many new faces in nosework!! But the comfort of our old friends helps us stay strong in the changing times.
This was a bittersweet trial as so many of us are navigating a new path without loved ones. I would like to think Jeff was proud of how well the trial went this weekend. He would love seeing the new teams and watching his old favorites. I think he would be picking at all the food in the kitchen...and giving treats to all the dogs!
Nancy and Nikki are the superstars!! They did great hosting their first event! Hats off for all the questions they answered, volunteers they got in place, and TWO FULL DAYS of vehicles!! This weekend is their success.
But none of this works without volunteers: Kelly for the ace screroom work, Michelle for kitchen duty, Pat , Sue, Darlene, Deb, Connie and Ule, and all the competitors who worked as gate stewards, judges stewards, raffle helpers, and people finders. Thank you!
Our judges were brave-inside or out, it was a crazy weather weekend. Many thanks to Dennis, Doug, Sandra, and Keri!! (And don't forget to send some love to Sharon!! We missed you this weekend, Sharon!)
And *always* to our competitors: far and near, new and old. Without you, there is no "us".
We never take your support for granted. Thank you for driving through snow storms, in freezing weather, to be judged for a $2 ribbon.
Thank you for letting us love on your pups and sharing in these games. Thank you for sharing your lives-the personal things that make us all human and bind us in a way that we see beyond our differences and distances to be one.
Q or no Q, title or not, we hope you all had a weekend of enjoyment.
Sounds like Nikki and Nancy might have the trial bug....keep an eye out for upcoming events.
