OH MY GOSH!!! I just wanted a safe place to take my dogs for some holiday photos. What started as a side conversation quickly developed into an amazing plan. And I cannot thank you all enough for being a part of this.
We had Santa-who was good with dogs and people. Santa was quick to recognize when dogs were nervous and needed extra time. He was happy to hand out treats and hold leashes. Hands down, he was simply the best.
In addition, we had six individual themed photo booths where you could take your own photos with your dogs.
I had a plan, but you all made it happen-and it was amazing.
Shout outs:
--Santa from Santa Services Illinois, not only was he the best, but also he donated a Santa home visit to our raffle
--Will and Nikki Wilcox for the ace photography (we are all so excited to see those photos!)
--Always and forever to the Trial Minions, Nancy and Nikki. You two sure made a lot of things happen
-- Kelly and Franco for sharing in the vision and scoring *the* Santa chair
--Amanda for playing receptionist
--Ashley at RejuveNate for her generosity of plants for our raffle.
--Brian and Krystle for begrudgingly tagging along, building things, setting up, cleaning up (literally cleaning the s**t), playing Elf, finding *the* best Santa, and making it happen!

And to all of you who came out to join us-THANK YOU!! It was a joy to see you and your dogs. We hope you had fun and got some great photos with your dogs and family today!

We are done with trials for the year, but we aren't done having fun yet...
November 1st and 2nd in Joliet, IL come see us for your Holiday Photos! Pet and family friendly environment.
You can sign up here for a specific time to have photos with Santa - THE REAL SANTA, 15 minutes of just you and your family/pet. No stress of others watching, no worries of other dogs in your space. A photographer will send your 5 images of your Santa session (you can also take your own photos).
In addition, we will have six 'do it yourself' photo booths (We will have volunteers at each booth to assist you), where you can take fun photos of your family and pets. These photo booths will include: "Naughty Dog Booth" with torn up toys and stockings full of coal, "Magic Of Holidays" with light up books, presents, and ornaments, and a "New Year's Booth" get your 2026 party photo ready.
We encourage signing up here to avoid a wait. If you choose to drop in, be prepared for a wait.

For our raffle, Santa is donating a home visit. You could have Santa visit you at your home!

Congratulations to everyone who came out to play this weekend. That's a wrap on our 2025 UKC year.

Hats off to an amazing crew:
Kelly in the scoreroom; Nikki and Nancy as the lead Minions; Dennis "The Fly", Doug, Keri, and Sandra being all judgey, Janet as our vehicle wrangler, Ruth keeping us all in line, and the slew of competitors who stepped in to help out ad needed.

It was great to see so many of you this weekend. Congratulations on taking the time to play with your dog.

HOLY SMOKES!!! You all were on fire today! Wow!!
Our ORT was over before we could blink. Nice job, everyone!
Many thanks to Sue and Robin as our CO and Judge for the day. Nancy, Andi, and Nikki as our volunteers.

4G&TB is a not for profit club composed of members interested in growing dog sports through practice, trials and education. Our mission is to spread the availability of dog sports to the Chicago suburbs of Illinois and surrounding states. We currently host nose work trial events for UKC, C-WAGS, and NACSW and fun matches for practice and trial preparation. We understand the commitment you have made to have a dog. We would like to offer the opportunity for you and your dog to play with us! We welcome all competitors, novice to seasoned veterans, willing to learn, share their knowledge, practice, play and compete. Join us in building a strong relationship with your dog through nose work, games and hands on seminars. We welcome your feedback for additional activities and sports the dog sport community would like to participate in. Always keep in mind, the key to being successful with your dog is to have fun!
