Us: exhausted from busy weeks, horse shows etc. let’s take a rest day.

Also us: We have 100 square bales of hay being delivered today.

My husband: I’m going to see how fast I can do it.

He did it (with one other guy) in 8 minutes. 65 pounds per bale and 100 bales. Nice job.

The mulberries from our mulberry tree are delicious this year! Our tree has grown fast and I think I’ll try a pie this year. Surprisingly the chickens don’t eat them when they fall to the ground.

This sweet little nugget got shaved today. This was his first ever shave and he just stood still and let me trim him all over. What a good boy. Now to teach him to wear a blanket since it will be cool the next few nights.

Tumbleweed just hasn’t seemed 100% himself. Nothing super noticeable- I just know him really well and he just seemed a bit off. We had the vet run a f***l to check for parasites as well as run his blood work. His parasite count was good so no issues there. However, he came back anemic and seems to have an infection. We will be starting him on iron and antibiotics and hope there is no serious underlying issues.

He is the sweetest most love able guy. I know lots of you that have met him love him as well. Please send him some air hugs and well wishes while we try to get him all better.

Thank you to Dr. Boyd for coming out on the weekend to look at Misty’s injured eye. Above and beyond care as always - thank you Dr. Boyd. Somehow she scratched her cornea but with some strong meds, rest and love she should be just fine.
