Can I be real for a moment and talk about What Matters Most to me? The past few weeks have been the hardest that I have ever had to go through. Losing my father brought everything else into sharp focus. In the midst of this loss we had a pre-planned family trip and we made the hard and correct decision to tuck in as a family on the beach and all be together. Thank you SO much to the patience of my couples as I had to move meetings around. Thank you to my vendor community for reaching out with prayers and condolences. THANK YOU ALL for making this trip even possible. Your support and referrals fund things like camps and lessons for my sons to improve and thrive and become the men you see here so that the legacy can expand. For us to be able to afford to all be together on an unforgettable weekend vacation. All of this is because of all of you, and I could not be more grateful for the legacy I am able to leave because you chose to trust us with What Matters Most to you. I promise to never ever take that for granted. “Love each other as I have loved you” John 15:12

Madison + Cory represented the fourth couple in one friend/family group that we had the honor of serving. I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about what it means to be in the wedding industry but this moment brought it all home to me. Being a wedding coordinator means first and foremost being present to the needs of the moment. I’m famous for getting emotional when I see my brides in their dress for the first time and knowing that moment is the dream come true for them. This one was different, I have been privileged to watch this woman’s journey for the past six years. As I buttoned up the back of her dress, the gravity of what I have been blessed to be able to do hit me all at once. I get to stand in the gap and be a voice for my couples when theirs is getting buried. I get to help my families breathe and pray when the emotions get to be too much. I get to make things beautiful and fix what is broken. That’s not work to me. That’s passion. That’s calling. That love. This makes the tired mornings & the sore muscles worth every moment. Being able to rejoice with those who are rejoicing together and, sometimes, weep with those who need to take a moment and feel the emotions. Every. Weekend. Thank you for letting me be a small piece of your love story. I treasure you all in my heart. -Kristi
