Well, I swore I would never let it happen again, and, yet it did. I was contacted by a very well known person on the court circuit, and he asked me if I could make him a couple of scepters. I told him I had been working on a few ideas, discussed them with him, and he decided he wanted to purchase. I told him that my policy was 50% down, to cover the cost of supplies needed, and the remainder when the scepters were finished. He agreed, I informed him I would order the supplies needed and he said he would send the deposit out shortly. Being who he is, I agreed. Well time passed and I didn't hear anything from him. I even sent him pics of the progress taking place. Once again no response. So I tried contacting again, and he advised that he would be sendin some funds within several weeks. Again, silence. This time I sent him a letter stating that I was pulling the contract, and the 25% discount I granted him, and that I was going to sell them. I also told him I was considering of sending a complaint the ICS Council, and his B.O.D. I thought this might nudge him into fulfilling the agreement. Did this work? NO! What did I get back? A plea not to ruin his name. Now why would I do that?
In the past year, I have recieved 2 different diagnoses for 2 different types of cancer, I have gone through radiation treatment, hormone treatments, and, at present I am going through chemo. On top of all that, I spent money on making 2 secpters, that are sitting in my shop, when I could be paying my yearly HOA payment.
So, the scepters will be sold for either an asking price or best offer. I am attaching a few pictures so everyone can see how fabulous they are. You will see the selection of crowning stones that you will choose for your scepter(s) and the overall elegance of these pieces.
They will be on the market for 30 days only. The asking price is $750 each or Best Offer. I hope you think they are as nice as I do, and, as always, please don't hesitate to contact me for any questions. FYI: All metal parts have been gold plated.
