Hey Jungle Float fans!
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! Thank you for your amazing support in our first month of bringing Jungle Float to Knoxville. We love providing the Jungle Float experience! However, as of June 29th, we have been informed that we are no longer allowed to operate off of the shoreline of Knox County Parks. In order to keep this experience affordable and accessible for everyone, we need to be able to use public lake access found only at county parks.
Since we are operating in TVA waters and not on County land, we believe the County’s position is incorrect. We are hopeful that we can resolve this issue promptly to continue to provide a safe, fun, family-friendly entertainment experience to all our patrons. However, there seems to have been complaints in regard to crowding the park with vehicles and swimming from the shoreline, which led to the decision by the Knox County Commission to order us to cease operation at all Knox County Parks/property.
We fully believe that it is not the intent of the county government to keep this experience from you, nor is it their intent to negatively affect the business of Jungle Float. We are supportive of a financially beneficial agreement between Jungle Float Knox and Knox County, however we must reach this agreement quickly. The end of summer is nearing!
That’s where you come in.
We need as many people as possible to contact Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett and Knox County Commission to voice your support of having us at Rocky Point Park or The Cove at Concord Park. If you are willing, please send the following email (and anything else you want to add) to Mayor Tim Burchett and your Knox County Commissioners at the addresses below. Included is our email address so that we have record of your support.
