For those of you who have eaten at Martino's Kokomo, our next Hall of Legends inductee will come as no surprise.

Angela Martino was born in the small mountain town of Gallo Matese, Italy and remembers as a child having to hide from WWII troops. As a result, she knows what it is like to go hungry. Angela and her husband Frank were married in Rhode Island and eventually made their way to Kokomo, Indiana in 1957. Frank worked at Continental Steel, but he and Angela worked side gigs - first a doughnut shop, then a bar on North Street (now the Handlebar). When the couple opened Martino's Italian Villa in the early 1970s, both Martinos put their cooking skills to good use. Martino's quickly became a Kokomo staple, and it's still going strong 50 years later.

Angela is our third Hall of Famer - Martino's was inducted into the Pizza Hall of Fame in 2017. Please join us in congratulating Angela for being inducted into our very own Hall of Legends!

The Hall of Legends event takes place on April 25 in Hingst Hall at Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner by Rozzi's Catering will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the program to follow. For a donation you will enjoy a simple yet meaningful meal. You will leave with a heart full of warmth and purpose because you impacted a kid in the UP Program. 🌟

Picture this a selection of delicious soups crafted by local chefs and restaurants, accompanied with fresh bread, a delightful cookie and a bowl hand painted by local children.

At 5:00 PM larger bowls painted by local celebrities will be auctioned to the highest bidder. All proceeds will benefit the kids in the KUO UP Program.
Lunch from 11 AM to 1 PM
Dinner from 4 PM to 6 PM
