Dave, our resident Great Blue Heron, had a rough day yesterday. He got his leg tangled in a rope in our pond. Thanks to our new friends at Red Creek Wildlife Center Dave was rescued and is now getting some much needed rest. X-rays show no broken bones, so we hope to see him back on our shore soon! Kinda obsessed with my project this week😍!This fireplace had to be boarded up to keep out critters 🐿️ and was always an eyesore. Finally had a chance to cap it and uncovered gorgeous brick and stone inside under a layer of crumbling plaster. This building never ceases to amaze 🤩

Our barrel room got an upgrade this week! As much as we loved the open beam ceiling the need for insulation and soundproofing called for a solution. So happy we found this beautiful panel option and extremely grateful for our resident handyman (my dad!) for completing it so quickly. We are ready for our next party this weekend!
