This year AKD partnered with Purdue University to provide production for Faith Christian at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds.

At the beginning of the year AKD was asked to design and depoly a new sound system for Northeastern Alabama Community College. This week, design and system engineers, Kenny and Alan traveled to the great state of Alabama to install a new system in the Tom Bevill Lyceum. This install replaced a RCF point source system on the floor, and a Behringer x32 console. The new system consists of 16 JBL SRX 906 boxes flown in a LR configuration, 2 JBL SRX 906 front fills, 2 JBL SRX 928 subwoofers, a Yamaha DM7 console with CTL, and a Yamaha Rio 3224 stagebox.

The client was thrilled with how the installation turned out and was blown away with not only the systems output capabities but the smoothness of the coverage throughout the entirety of the seating plane at all SPL's. The new console and PA not only add a level of control and capability, but are outstanding teaching, learning, and performing tools for theatrical students that plan to be up and coming actors, band members, and technicians.

AKD is proud to have partnered with Northeastern Alabama Community College to help bring this performing arts center to the forefront here in Alabama.

We did some major system upgrades, wiring/rewiring and electrical, and previous system Integration, as well as new equipment installation at West Lafayette MadMushroom! Now everyone can enjoy some tunes while they dine and the workers can enjoy the music or the game in the back of house!

More new toys are in!!! We are continually upgrading equipment to improve and provide the best possible experience for all of our customers. First show for the arrays will be Stars and Stripes downtown on the 4th of July for the Cities of Lafayette & West Lafayette. We hope to see you there!

Time to get out and Mosey!!! The weather is great and and both the 6th Street Main Stage, and the 11th Street stage are rocking! We made the change this month to sE Electronics mic packages for both our stages and they sound amazing!

Had a great weekend for the first Mosey Down Main Street of the season! We were rocking the 6th Street Main Stage and the 11th Street Stage. We are blessed with the opportunity to provide audio support for all the Moseys and enjoy working with all the local talented musicians each year!!!

We are excited to announce our project completion with The Arts Federation here in downtown Lafayette.

We installed sound solution consisting of 2 JBL SRX906 3 box line arrays for complete and smooth coverage of the entire performance area. They are paired the 3 RCF-M4 series front fills powered by Crown Amps and 3 RCF compact 12” sub woofers. The system is a one touch power up/down sequenced system and is controlled by a wall mounted touch control system with a custom GUI.

AKD is extremely proud of how this extremely customized system turned out. We create custom integration solutions tailored to our customers needs as every clients needs are different.

Days 1-2-3 done so far. Wrapping this install up tomorrow! Rack build, custom wiring pull and install, rigging, line array, fill and sub install. TAF is getting a major major upgrade from the 10 year old 2 speaker mono system. Stay tuned for the final post in the next couple days!!!

Another major install done here in town. Matchbox Coworking Studio reached out to us to upgrade a barely functioning system that a previous “professional” installed for them. (Last 2 pictures are the previous installers work) We did a major overhaul installing a distributed system with multi-zone control, upgraded wireless system, increased I/O, power management, and cleaned up the rack!

Put in a nice upgrade and repair for Wabash College in Wabash, IN. They have upgraded to an ALLEN & HEATH SQ6 and stage box for their main performance theater. They will also use their QU16 as a monitor and FX console.

We also repaired 2 Crown XTi 4002s and 1 Crown 6002 XTi amp. After some quick programming and a SMAART tuning everything sounds great and they are ready for their next performance!
