This was something that, at the time, had never crossed my mind. Two friends who had made the decision to celebrate their commitment ceremony came to me and said "We can't think of anyone else to perform our ceremony. My answer was "YES!!! I would be honored!". At the time, same-sex marriage was not legal, but in my heart I knew that someday VERY soon, it would be, and I wanted to be officially ordained for when it did. It took over 3 years, but here we are, so let's make HISTORY!
