When I was 10 yrs old our family started getting together on our farm we are talking 7 sisters, 2 brothers all the kids ,cousins ,grandchildren and close friends were always invited so 100 easy 3 to 5 days to prepare Thanksgiving Lunch, started way before then from raising the pig to cleaning the pig for cooking then ,digging a pit 3ft wide 4 ft deep and 6 ft long, cutting the wood to fill it to t

he top and burning it down to red hot coals that would last threw the nite and into the next day, any fresh meat from hunting and we always had sausage to get you threw the nite, Work no just good times listening to our aunts and uncles telling about the past, laughing and joking, If we got board we run threw the hay field catching fire flies, Come Lunch time next day we wasn't even hungry just ready to sleep, Now 37 yrs later My children enjoy cooking and we enjoy sharing our good times and good food with everyone, We poor our heart and soul into our cooking its the only way we know how to cook.
