Runners and Walkers:
Thank you for registering for the Lampasas Veterans Day Run and Walk! As we prepare for the race next week, we wanted to share some important information.
PACKET PICK-UP:
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, November 4 from 3-5 p.m. at the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce, located at 501 E 2nd St, Lampasas, TX 76550. If you registered for the virtual run and added the shipping option, your shirt and medal will be mailed to you after you enter your results.
There will also be a final opportunity to pick up your packet on Saturday, November 5 from 6-7 a.m. at the race start on the north side of the Lampasas County Courthouse, located at 409 South Pecan Street, Lampasas, TX 76550.
We will be accepting online registrations until 7:30 a.m. race morning in case your friends or family decide they would like to join.
PARKING:
On race morning, we are asking that you DO NOT park around the courthouse, as this will impact the Farmer’s Market set up. Please use nearby street parking or the parking lot off of 4th and Elm Street, behind Dollar General and the Lampasas County Tax Assessor’s office.
FACILITIES:
Public bathrooms will be open on race morning. They are located in the alley between Dollar General and the Lampasas County Tax Assessor’s office.
There will also be some bleachers for those who would like to participate in the Veterans Day activities and cheer for our runners/walkers, so invite your family and friends.
COURSE SAFETY:
Although this is a timed event and we will have the es**rt of a patrol car, please note that the roads will NOT be closed. Please stay on the right side of the road and use sidewalks where possible (especially running back to the finish on Hackberry). Watch for cars and pay extra attention as you are crossing intersections.
We will have chalked the roads and arrow signs at the turns, and have a few volunteers to direct you where the route gets a little tricky. But please closely review the route before race day (see map below).
WATER, DRINKS & FOOD:
Before we start the run, or after if you prefer, stop by for some hot coffee, compliments of Alamo Coffee.
Thanks to First Bank of Texas, there will be a water stop at about 1.5 miles into the run/walk at Turner Field Park on Campbell St.
Also, thanks to HEB, there will be water and bananas at the start/finish line.
VETERANS CEREMONY:
At 7:45 a.m. on race morning, we will conduct a brief Veterans Ceremony, led by Jen Robison, retired Colonel and co-founder of Camp Cowboy, to thank our local veterans for their service. Sheriff Ramos will lead us in prayer, Jenene Ahia will sing the National Anthem, then the race will start at 8 a.m.

Please join us in thanking our sponsors, as this event would not happen without them. We genuinely appreciate their support!
