It’s the final quarter of the year and I am excited about some new doors that I will be walking into. That also means closing some doors due to slow business and not having my hands in too many things. I am so thankful for the amazing people that I’ve met that I wouldn’t have otherwise and for those who took such great care of my building like it was your own during your special events. I am excited to continue as a business woman, just in a different arena soon!! No new bookings are being accepted for January and beyond.

*The building will not be rented out to any new or current businesses seeking a space(just fyi)

*I will be selling some items from my building sometime next year.

Excited for what’s to come and soooo thankful to my parents, Larry Durham Sr. for allowing me to use their building. They are the best landlords ever! It’s only up from here!! 😄

The Gathering Meetings and Events is available to host your event for up to 40 people for a variety of events including baby showers, bridal showers, graduation parties, bereavement/repass dinners and so much more. The space can also be used by business owners for their classes such as makeup instruction, floral arrangements, balloons making kits , candle creations, braiding courses, tutoring, photography sessions and a ton more! I’ve always complained that there was not much support for widows(and the Bible calls for widows and orphans to be cared for). God finally told ME to do something about it. I’m thankful for the group of widows that I’ve been able to support and encourage over the past 9 months. I’ve decided to open this gathering to all, not just the widows that I know. Please come out and be fed, loved on and encouraged, while meeting women who have found themselves in the same shoes. This will not be a sad gathering, but one of excitement, joy and life! Looking forward to the new friendships that will be made!

The owner of The Gathering hosted and decorated a brunch for her daughters 21st birthday off location. If you would like to rent The Gathering but don’t want to decorate, add on options are now available for decor, hosting and even planning your event. Options available to decorate, host or plan your off location events too. Book your event and simply show up while leaving the planning, hosting and decor to me!

The Gathering Meetings and Events is turning one in January! It’s been an amazing year! 2022 brings some new and exciting things like ladies night, couples night, fellas nights, worship nights, game nights, karoake night, kids events and the list goes on!

Meet the owner: Monique Durham Kirk is a SC native that loves hosting and planning events. It is with such excitement, passion and excellence that she brings a new venue option to her small home town community that will host small and intimate events. Stepping out on faith and taking a risk of becoming a business owner during COVID season, Monique is already thrilled at the response and interest of the community. In addition to opening her business, Monique wears many hats and is a 1st grade teacher, a doula, mom of 3, wife of a Pastor and is in the midst of completing her Doctoral degree in education.
