It's hard to believe it's already been a few weeks since our last show featuring the wonderful Jen Sygit and Michelle Held, and that 2024 is nearly over!
We're thankful to have ended the first half of Season 1 with this intimate, yet powerful night of live, original, Michigan-made music, despite the snow. We're also very thankful to everyone who has invested in our series in one way or another since the beginning.
We're glad to now be in a season of relative "rest", yet eager to bring more performers, neighbors, and causes to Stage One at Sycamore Creek Eastwood in 2025 (and working behind the scenes to make it happen).
In the meantime, here are the photos from our December event. (While Christmas is technically over, doesn't Stage One look so lovely here, adorned with trees and lights?)
P.S. If you're looking for an excuse to head back over there, and ESPECIALLY if you missed our last GNCS show, you won't want to miss the next installment of The Healing Feast, a new "dinner concert" series hosted by singer/songwriter (and GNCS-featured artist) Sari Brown.
The Healing Feast is a traveling series (meaning it's in a different location every time), but will be having their next event at Stage One on January 9th - and - will also feature music from Jen Sygit. So, if the snow kept you away on December 4th, you have one more chance.
But wait - there's more!
The Healing Feast will be raising funds for ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ซ (wildoneslansing.weebly.com), to support their work in the Lansing community of promoting environmentally sound landscaping practices to preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration and establishment of native plant communities.
And, did we say "dinner"? Yes, we absolutely did. In addition to being fed by music and community, attendees will also be fed with food in their bellies, lovingly prepared by the host.
What's on the menu?
๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ข, ๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ง ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ with chicken, veggies, and toasted (gluten free) pasta. ๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ: Vegan Bolivian Peanut Vegetable Soup, and Peanut-free Chicken Noodle Soup served at a separate station. (Gluten free, egg free, dairy free, veggie soup option is vegan and chicken noodle soup option is peanut/tree nut free).
Tickets are available on a sliding-scale basis according to your ability. (Their last dinner concert did sell out - so don't wait until the last minute!)
