Thank you very much Strong Future Las Vegas and City of Las Vegas Government , Councilman Cedric Crear for giving me the ability to share my story and journey with everyone who attended the Drones To Be Flown event today. This has been the greatest moment of my career as a drone Pilot, and I feel very privileged to be able to contribute to this space and the youth. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn more of the history of this location, and the wisdom I was able to both give and receive here today.

Meet the Pilot:
I'm Roderick Baldwin, currently 24, born in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands.
I spent my early childhood in the Vegas area till 8yrs old, and have lived in the Coachella valley from them up until December 2021 when I moved back to Vegas.

How I got into Drones:
I was a caregiver for my grandmother for about 4 years with my uncle, he has been in the home inspection world for a while, and I got into that to help him/do something with my time while I was Caring for her with him. He would climb ladders to inspect the roof and I wasn't trying to do that, I ended up getting into Drones by suggestion from someone he worked with and it took off from there. Got some toy grade drones to learn with from Fry's Electronics and stepped up to the Phantom 4 shortly after that. Didn't know I had to get a license, taught myself everything I needed to know to pass. And have been a license holder for 5+ years ever since.

What I Specialize in:
Real Estate photography is what I'm best at, that's made up majority of my Aerial career. I have done other projects with nature and events as well.

Where I plan to expand:
I want to start incorporating my passions into my brand. I'm very driven by Automotive technology and Fi****ms, and looking to work deeper into those fields.

That's a brief description of my Drone journey so far, I'm very excited to grow further and looking forward to flying with all of you!
