Did you know that The Inclusion Center is the fiscal sponsor for SLC Pride?! We are so excited to be part of a festival that SCREAMS inclusivity! There are many events leading up to the SLC Pride festival (June 28-30) and this is one of them.
Have you always wanted to participate in a 5k but felt like that might be more than you have in you? Then this .5k might be just the thing for you 😂 Come meander from coffee to brunch and get a fun T-shirt while you’re at it.

I have sat on the Board of Directors for the Inclusion Center for many years and am so proud of our ability to help sponsor SLC Pride 2024!

For many years I have been a board member of the Inclusion Center for Community and Justice in Utah. We are looking for new board members to help grow our organization.

The goal is to find individuals who want to be active board members and help with fundraising, seeking grants, and making a difference in the community. Is that you?

Mission Statement:
We are a human relations non-profit organization in Utah dedicated to cultivating healthy dialogue surrounding topics of privilege and bias. We build inclusive communities through experiential learning, intentional dialogue, discussions of accountability, and the cultivation of tomorrow's leaders. We nurture spaces, provide actionable tools, and curate verbiage necessary to have typically difficult conversations.

Signature Program: Camp Anytown
Anytown is a nationally recognized program designed to empower youth to create respectful and just communities for all of us, not just some of us. For 5 days and 4 nights, young adults from across Utah, ages 15-18, escape to the fresh outdoors of Camp Tuttle, in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

This Adelaide Herrmann poster just sold for $48,000 at auction (before taxes and auction fees)

I love that women who picked magic as their professions are starting to get more focus and attention!

If you would like to learn more about this amazing magician there is a fantastic book by Margaret B Steele

I was interviewed on a podcast by Olivia Meikle about her as part of her What'sHerName project.

Congratulations Magic in Heels with Kayla Drescher for her Shezam Podcast!

Thank you to AnnaRose Einarsen for bringing national attention to the foundational work of Gloria Dea.

This year also marks the 10 year anniversary of the Women in magic group at the Magic Castle

And there are new opportunities to celebrate women coming up soon!

Magicians have a long history of respecting the names people choose for themselves.

If we can call "Henry Boughton" the Great Harry Blackstone. Or call magicians Kreskin, Banachek, Harry Kellar, Harry Houdini, Max Maven, Paul Draper etc. then we can call any magician or person by any name or pronoun they want.

It's that simple.

I will call you by whatever name you want to be called, I will use whatever pronoun you want me to use, I will support whoever you love. I accept you fully and sincerely.

Wonderful show on Hulu where an accomplished chef from LA travels to different cultures to learn more about their particular soul food. I'm 3 episodes in and it is wonderful. How can we apply these lessons to our own art? When we dig deep into our own stories and heritage we will find beautiful magic there.

The timing of Easter, Passover, and Ramadan is based on different calendars and lunar cycles, so their occurrence at the same time is rare and unpredictable. Typically, this event happens three times a century or once every 33 years.

Congratulations to Magic in Heels with Kayla Drescher and the Shezam podcast!

WOW. Thank you to the for this. I am often not for awards, but when Shezam gets recognition, it’s a reminder that not only are people listening, but that the labor of love (and often exhaustion) is worth it to many people. Thank you for this! An obvious thanks to our audio producer, Chris Combs () for everything he does to make each episode sound stunning. And a special thanks to for everything you do for magic and the world. Can’t wait to have you on the pod!
