We are thrilled to announce the return of the All Association Holiday Party for 2023.

Happy Anniversary to Trina Johnson Events! 15 years ago I chose to embark upon what would become the most fulfilling adventure of my life. Is it scary sometimes? Yes. But there’s nothing better than believing in yourself and your skills as well as learning to ask for a helping hand when needed from all the wonderful people you meet and work with along the way. I’m saddened to learn this news! Cindy was such an incredible powerhouse in pulling First Fridays together. Thank you, Cindy, for all you did for the Las Vegas community!

Our hearts are saddened to share that Cindy Funkhouser, one of the original co-founders of First Friday over 20 years ago, recently passed away.

For decades, Cindy dedicated her energy, time and passion to creating a connective space for artists. Cindy came up with the idea for First Friday 20 years ago after a trip to Oregon, and was the driving force behind the initial years of the event with help from her other two co-founders. She wanted to make sure that people had an opportunity to experience art and culture in Vegas.

Our January 2023 event will begin the monthly Cindy Funkhouser Residency spaces, which will provide free space to local artists to honor her dedication and love for both First Friday and the Las Vegas arts community more broadly.

Thank you to everyone who reached out regarding the absolutely senseless violence yesterday on the Las Vegas strip. All in my family are safe. We of course are praying for those who were injured, and for the families of those killed. Tell everyone you love that you love them every day.
