We call this guy Persistent Percy....when he wanted to nurse from his momma Belle, nothing would stop him from his task! He is has a wonderful and friendly personality!

Kunekune piglets are finally weaned and ready to leave our farm! Be on the look out for pictures of the available piglets.
This is Gertie....I think a goose sitting on a nest is one of the prettiest scenes on a farm.
She is part of my original pair of Pilgrim Geese and with out fail she will sit and hatch out a clutch of goslings every year. And she will often adopt extras to raise as well!
She is super sweet and mellow even when sitting on nest.
This is Duke our Tutanekai boar and he became a sire this week times two!!!
We welcomed his first two litters out of Belle and Florence!
Second batch of pilgrim goslings are set to hatch early next week!
I have four females and one male left from my first hatch of the year!
Goslings are such a fun part of our spring and we look forward to taking our daily walks with them in the evenings. They just love to follow us around!
First litter of piglets of 2024 has arrived!
Belle had her first litter of 4 females and one male....
And with it our first cream boarling!
They are a super sweet and curious bunch!
Florence , our Trish gilt, is due to farrow her first litter towards the end of April and I am excited to see how she does!
She is bred with Duke our Tutanekai boar.
We are T minus two weeks out from the first gosling hatch of the year!!
I absolutely love the dynamic in a goose flock! The ganders will protect their ladies and young with everything they have and I find that so endearing. They are very 'family' orientated and will often times adopt additional young and rear them.
Last summer our three boys, ages 11, 9, and 7, purchased a pedigreed pair of Holland Lop Rabbits to raise and sell the offspring. The rabbits have been a complete joy to own and raise. We have one pedigreed mating pair, Annie and Micheal Jordan. Annie is a Blue doe and Micheal Jordan is a Harlequin buck.
They are both incredible sweet and gentle in temperament. We welcomed our first litter of Holland Lop rabbits in February and they are currently weaned and ready for their new homes!
Annie the doe of this litter is the sweetest and friendliest rabbit!

Finally got the meat rabbits back on pasture!!! It has been two years since we had rabbits out on pasture...Last year was a rebuilding year and we did not have any kits to raise out. This year I sold all of our kits from our earlier litters. These guys got out a bit later than we wanted but because the tractors are so versatile they were occupied with chicks and goslings.
The kits have so much fun zooming around and going up and down the ramp it so much fun to see!!
This is Rolls, Rolls Royce, or Big Chunkers depending on which family member you are talking to. He is such a good looking boarling and has the most amazing personality out of all the piglets we had this year! He loves affection and is so quick to roll over for the belly rubs!! He is going to make somebody a great sire someday!!
We just consolidated all the piglets into one paddock and these two are trying to decide who is the boss of the group!! This is a black and white gilt out of Marge and a tri colored boarling out of Beatrice. Both of which are still available!
Piglets are notoriously hard to take pictures of!! They want to be right next you and will run faster than you would imagine to get right back to you if you dare try to move away from them!! Always feeling loved with the piglets!
I have not done a rabbit update lately!
This litter of lilac and chocolate rabbits is the sweetest litter we have ever had!!! This litter is out of Wren (chocolate doe) and Thrush (lilac buck) and they are growing extremely well.
And in case anybody remembers or is wondering....I am not having better luck rebreeding Chickadee. She does not want to lift again...I have tried all three bucks and nothing. I weaned her litter recently so I will try again but she is a very stubborn doe...so stinking sweet to me but very stubborn!!

This is a spunky gilt out of Marge and I just adore her personality...very much the opposite from her mother!
Well our very fist kidding went as well as I could have ever hoped!! My incredibly sweet and gentle doe Mercy delivered two bucklings all on her own. I got home from the farmers market and went to check on her and she was pretty much all done! I really wish I was there for the delivery so I could learn but it was really nice to just come home to the end of the delivery!!
She did not have a huge interest in them at first but over the next 24 hours she settled into motherhood well. So much so that while I was taking these pictures she kept checking on them because the camera was something new!
She has been a dream to learn to milk on and as a first time momma I feel really lucky to have her!! I don't have to do a ton of milking at the moment but the milking I do, she just stands while eating a little grain mix. i don't even put her on the stand!

I just adore goslings and 2023 season is now officially over....always sad. We now raise out the males for our meat geese and get to watch the ever watchful and adoring adults raise out their cultches. #pilgrimgeese
