I had to share a story from a session I recently did.

See that pink bow?
Well, before the session started, the mom brought out 2 bows, one for each girl. The little sister got a pink bow, but big sister's was white. She suddenly looked at mom with big eyes and disappoint. She immediately started crying. The mom said, " But this one matches your shirt" The little girl didn't budge, still crying. The mom told her to go inside. I waited outside with Dad and little sister while they went in. A few minutes later, she came out with the BIGGEST SMILE, her hair braided and with a pink bow in it. I admired the mom for that.

I myself, am guilty of sweating the little things and making sure everything is always perfect in many aspects of life. This was a perfect reminder of "pick your battles" and " don't sweat the small stuff".
In that moment, seeing the little girl go from sad to so happy that her mom let her wear "the pink bow" made me smile.

Enjoy every moment, make the time you have with your littles count and don't stress over the small things!
