I like to make my own color combinations so I can get the exact colors I want. Too many times I’ve bought a split cake online and then it’s just not what I expected. And as a bonus- it saves money!

Today I’m making some bubble hair for a birthday party this weekend! A sweet 6 year old birthday girl will have a Beauty Bar at her party- that includes full face painting with bling/gems, bubble hair and glitter tattoos! So much fun!

This is the moment that gets me. When a child sees their face in the mirror and they light up and say “WOW!”

If I’m honest, I’m super hard on myself and critique my work A LOT. So it’s a good reminder that kids don’t see all the small flaws that I do. They just see the good and are so excited!! And that’s what really matters ❤️

Yesterday was a BIG day painting over 100 faces at Journey Camp! Thank you so much Destinie for helping me paint faces for a couple hours so we could get more faces done! I could not have done it without her!

Also pictured is Alex happy and smiling after voluntarily getting her face painted. A rare occurrence in our house. 😂

Current situation. I bought practice boards which will be great for pictures but I still prefer to practice on skin. Gearing up for a BIG day face painting A LOT of faces tomorrow so the goal is quick and gorgeous designs! (And glitter…lots of glitter!)

Practicing some designs while relaxing on the beach with my babies. Working with pen and paper is obviously not the same as a brush, but it helps me visualize the brush strokes and design.
