Our Story
AshWood On Antioch Barn is an original to***co barn that has been in the family for decades. It has been remolded into a rustic but elegant wedding and event venue. AshWood On Antioch resides on 460 acres of a working farm on the outskirts of Bourbon and Fayette County in the heart of the bluegrass. The barn was originally owned by my grandfather, Mr. John Venable, who kept the barn up to its glory for many years until his older age. During his passing my mother, Martha, and I got left with ten to***co barns that we inherited, however, we know longer do to***co causing us to find another use for all these well kept barns.
A family friend was the one that suggested we turn one of these barns into a wedding barn considering how popular they are right now and there were none in Bourbon County yet. Soon after that I asked my mother if I could have a barn to do just this thing. We discussed that this barn was on the back of the farm and already had its own entrance, therefore, this would be the perfect one to do this “idea” with. Quickly after the decision was made the barn was changing week by week into what is now.
