I'm doing strolling magic tonight. For a 75 minute stage show with illusions I can toss everything into the truck and go without even thinking about it. For strolling I spend hours practicing routines and packing because I just don't do it as often. I love it - it just hasn't been a big focus of mine for years. But every time I do strolling magic I think "This is the way". I'm sure if I did it regularly and just had a regular "kit" it'd be way less stressful.

Hey Friends - one of our fellow variety performers needs a hand. For years Comedy Ventriloquist Ian Varella was my go-to opening act at our magic shows when I had to work without an assistant. He got a nasty infection and apparently lost a leg. His sole income is from performing and he can't get out and do that now. If you can spare even $5-$10 (or more) it all adds up to help someone in our community.

Happiest of Birthdays to my partner in everything - my beautiful wife Kim.

She's the first person I want to talk to when I wake up and the last person I want to talk to at night. She's my favorite person for so many reasons. She's a great Gaga (grandma), Mom, Step-mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend. She's kind and compassionate, smart and funny. She's beautiful and sexy and did I mention that she's wickedly funny?

Happy Birthday my precious sunshine. You make me happy. You give me a reason for living. You make me a better person. I'm so glad you're a part of my life. You ARE my life. Have a great day and I wish I could be with you today, but life and work have other plans for us today. We WILL celebrate soon. Probably at a Rennaisance Faire.

As someone who travels a LOT, I rely on trusted airlines. Since 2008, Southwest Airlines has exclusively been my go-to after American Airlines started the trend of charging for luggage. I cut up my Gold Flyers Club card and haven't flown AA in 16 years.

For my shows, I need two bags and two carry-ons for props, tech, and set pieces. Southwest has always been reliable with free bags and open seating. On the rare occasions I've flown other airlines (never AA), it’s been frustrating – assigned seating slows everything down, and paying for bags just starts the day on the wrong foot.

I’ve been an A-lister for years, a loyal Southwest Chase Credit Card holder with a Companion Pass, and I’ve even driven hours out of my way just to fly Southwest. But now, with talks of getting rid of open seating and possibly free bags, I’m halfway out the door. Take those away, and I’ll cut ties entirely.

A billionaire hedge fund guy, likely flying private, is trying to ruin the one good airline left. FU Elliott Investment Group – you’re destroying something I love(d).

One of my all-time favorite corporate booking agents/event planners passed away today. The world will have fewer awesome parties because of that. Our relationship was strictly professional, not a deep friendship, but a 20+ year relationship and quite a few events during that time. She left behind an amazing legacy and a mountain of respect.

This one got wild fast! Hypnotist CJ Johnson was performing at East View High School in Georgetown, TX and the male students were told they were now competing in the Mr. Universe contest. He did NOT tell them to remove their shirts - but these students were all very fit and once one took off his shirt - they almost all did.

Reminder - no one will do anything that's against their will while experiencing hypnosis. CJ Johnson will NEVER give suggestions that people may question. We are working with improvisation by students - so sometimes even the hypnotist is surprised. This is one of those cases.

This girl was a dynamo of energy for the Kung Fu Master bit. The set up is that she'll take out the gator via Kung Fu when she hears me say "I thought it was going to attack us". Sadly - this gator did not survive the evening after that attack. :-) Fortunately I had another one to use later that day at University of Florida. Thanks LASA for having me as a part of your graduation night festivities for the past 10+ years.
