Thank You for Joining Our Fundraiser!
Hello everyone,
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you who attended our fundraiser last night. Your support means the world to us, and we appreciate your participation!
Event Reflections
We strive to plan these events perfectly, but sometimes things don’t go as expected. We noticed that having food out without staff supervision made it challenging to manage portions, which affected everyone’s ability to enjoy the meal. To address this, we will be serving meals at our future events to ensure everyone has enough to eat.
Special Thanks
A huge thank you to our amazing violinists, **Thomas Bailey** and **Steph Dulag**, for their beautiful performances! Your music added a wonderful touch to the evening.
We had also planned to include a dance lesson, similar to past Regency balls, but unfortunately, our original volunteers were unable to attend. Additionally, based on your feedback, we decided to bring in a DJ to provide a more dynamic music experience instead of just playing a playlist. We’re committed to making each event unique and enjoyable!
Looking Ahead
We have one more event in this theme coming up, after which we’ll be exploring different immersive experiences. We welcome your ideas and suggestions to help us improve and innovate!
Keeping It Affordable
We aim to keep our events affordable, and we’re proud that this recent fundraiser was only $40. We’ll continue to prioritize affordability so that everyone in Maine can enjoy events similar to those in other parts of the U.S.
A Personal Note
As many of you know, we are still searching for a kidney donor for my husband. Dialysis is tough, and medical costs are overwhelming, but we remain hopeful that there’s a match out there. If you're interested in learning more about kidney donation, please visit [Kidney Registry](https://www.kidneyregistry.com/for-donors/become-a-living-kidney-donor/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAr7C6BhDRARIsAOUKifh43Nopg8fgMgbkGpulwEXI5ZU3NzciPNVaqzmKbQhNBenll4MKhnkaAoy2EALw_wcB).
Important Reminders
- If you were at the event and didn’t pay your bar tab, please contact the hotel, as there are four unpaid tabs.
- Lastly, if anyone mistakenly took two of our centerpieces, we would greatly appreciate their return, as we acquired them specifically for this event.
Thank you once again for your support and understanding. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
Warm regards,
Melissa & Joe Swett
Many people do not realize that they may be medically qualified to donate a kidney to one of the more than 90,000 people in the United States currently waiting for a kidney. A kidney from a living donor not only allows the recipient to undergo a transplant much sooner, but also typically lasts longe...
