Thank you to everyone who braved the storms last Friday to see Jarana. We may have had to move indoors, but it was still a lot of fun!
Update on the Concert this evening... We will still be having the free concert, just indoors in the Sanctuary with free ice cream afterwards in the Fellowship Hall.
Hello! Just a quick update to assure everyone that the Jarana concert scheduled for tomorrow (June 7) at 7:00 PM will indeed take place, rain or shine. We continue to hope it can be an outdoor event, but if weather dictates otherwise, we will move inside for both the concert and ice cream. See you tomorrow!!

Thank you to Matt Mason for his kind words about our Oct. 27 Sing from the Heart event. It was a wonderful combination of poetry and music!
I was part of a lot of shows this year and this was one of my favorites. It wasn't just a reading, I was invited to be part of a larger event for the Arts for the Soul - Music & Fine Arts Series with the First Presbyterian Choir in October. I read a few poems and talked about poetry in between choral arrangements of poems by Robert Frost and Langston Hughes.
Events like this pull in audiences with different interests, so they're fun to be part of and I hope to do more like this in 2024.
There were other collaborations this year, too, as I got to read with and sometimes travel with fantastic poets like Michelle Troxclair, Ryan Boyland, Emily Anderson, Colleen O'Doherty, Fernando Antonio Montejano, Twyla M. Hansen, Greg Harries, Bimal Guha, Developing Crisp, Sarah McKinstry-Brown and more.
What a wonderful time we had at Sing from the Heart last Friday with NE State Poet Matt Mason, the First Presbyterian Choir and Kelly Ross from ECHO Collective! Thanks to everyone who attended. We raised more than $1,500 for ECHO Collective!
