It's an odd time of day to post - However, we can only hold on to BIG NEWS around here for about a minute!

We have a reserved date for LNKCON 2025! *insert screaming excitedly and happy dancing around the kitchen here*

We do have to dot our i's and cross our t's just yet, so please keep hanging in there, all of the paperwork, legalities, etc should be wrapped up by early next week - so likely by this time next week you'll be marking us down on your calendar!

Here's your hints - we are still in Spring 2025, although in Nebraska, Spring is a very loose term. 😉

Hello LNK-Con hopefuls and more!

We just wanted to drop a line to let you know that we should have our new date within the next week! We know we just keep saying “stay patient” “we’re working on it” etc. and we do appreciate your patience and understanding! Again, this is a massive undertaking and we just want to make sure we put on the best event possible! Please, keep up the patience, we will make an announcement very soon!

This cool alien is ready to welcome all cult fandom enthusiasts to our event. With his stylish Hawaiian shirt (with that Nebraska corn pattern 🌽) and laid-back vibe, L!nk embodies the fun spirit of LNKCon.

We're over the moon excited to introduce L!nk and can't wait to share more details about the event. Keep your antennas tuned - we'll be announcing our new date very soon!

Hey, LNK-Con fans! We're excited to announce that we've been working on creating a super fun, cute, and nerdy mascot to fit our convention and we need YOUR help with choosing the perfect one!

We've narrowed it down to these two amazing designs, but we're having such a hard time making the decision! While these are not the final product, hopefully, these sketches will help you see the vision!

A word from the OG of Wild Orange, LLC

Good Evening Wild Orange followers, lovers and everyone in-between!

I know that things have been a bit quiet as of late (outside of all things Swiftie!) and I just wanted to jump on and address a few things regarding LNK-Con, that I know are pressing for so many.
•
I will preface this by saying - this is not the post I am sure you all have been hoping and waiting for, as of right now, I cannot be entirely transparent about the last three weeks and I do need just a bit more time. If you can hang tight (I know this has been said to so many of you for many weeks now and I know you are frustrated), I would kindly ask for you to do so. I would also like to note that while I am not the best at getting back to emails and DM's super quickly, both inboxes are open for anything you feel you need to say.

With that I will say, I know so many of you have questions you want answered. And all of them will be answered in due time! However, I can tell you these three things ::
•
1) LNK-Con is still a-go for 2025, the season or month has not yet been decided. But I assure you I will be shouting it from every rooftop once it is confirmed.
2) Wild Orange was, has been and still is the event host and management for LNK-Con. We have assembled an elite team of nerdy neurospicy volunteers who are ready to take this on head first!
3) The love and support I have felt the last couple of weeks and in all of the 6 years of Wild Orange has always been overwhelming, owning a small business is not for the weak. But it is also not without a village.

My closing notes will quote our Queen Tay "Never be so clever you forget to be kind, never be so kind you forget to be clever." All in all, be kind. You never know what a person is currently facing.

Hello LNK-Con Ticket Holders, Vendors, Lincolnites at large, and all around nerdy folks!

I am disappointed I have to be write this message tonight. As of this last Friday, I turned in my formal resignation from my position as the President of LNK-Con. With me, both the Senior Vice President of Convention Experience, Molly Hicks, and the Vice President of Sales and Development, Jen Potters, also resigned.

I am very aware that just two weeks ago, today, we as senior leadership for LNK-Con, asked you to bear with us as we made a massive change to the event and pushed the dates back to spring of 2025. This is truly the best decision we could have made at the time given the situation, information, and previous planning.

What we did not expect at that time would be the unresolvable differences within LNK-Con’s senior leadership and the legal missteps made prior.

As a result, I saw no other choice but to remove myself from the event in the interest of protecting myself and my business. This was not a personal decision in any way, it was a business and liability decision.

I’m sharing this with you all today as I feel that you all, as the ones so deeply invested in the event, deserve transparency and clarity when it comes to what you have signed on to support and/or attend. And, as I have put my reputation on the line the past few weeks, it is my duty to be clear about why am I leaving and why I am no longer affiliating with this event in any way. Honestly and transparency have always been a part of my core values (both personal and business) and so I am choosing not to leave you hanging here.

After dedicating 135 hours to this event, the work I have put in has shown me what a supportive and dedicated nerdy community there is in Lincoln, Nebraska and I love that each and every one of you exists! You all deserve an amazing ComicCon event worthy of your dreams and desires.

I’m greatly disappointed that I will no longer be a part of this event but I do wish the continuing event organizer only supportive vibes in bringing LNK-Con 2025 to fruition.

I would ask that if you do have questions or concerns regarding my part in LNK-Con that they be directed to me personally at [email protected] or through Facebook messenger. I am happy to answer any and all questions you may have.

For now though, I am rarely one to not see something through, so, in this case, I am sad that was the outcome.
