Hello! My name is Maddie Meyerle and I am about to start my junior year at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. I am double majoring in Sports Media Communications and Advertising/Public Relations, with a minor in Hospitality. PRIDE month is right around the corner, and we are supporting some AMAZING clients!
Looking forward to posting these projects and being out in the community celebrating what PRIDE means to me. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🌈

For those that are new to our page or my business, I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA community. I support q***r businesses, ally businesses and q***r couples. Not just in June, or when it's convenient, but all year round. I have never been shy about this. I've volunteered my time, my services, and even my products to help build better LGBTQIA community events in Lincoln. I've put myself out for scrutiny and my business at risk of folks that see things far differently than I do. And I'm totally okay with this. Why? Because I believe that we can build a better, more inclusive community. Not just inclusive in our little LGBTQIA Lincoln Community, but with our Allies and YES even trying to include those folks that think far differently. When we come together we see that we are not so different from each other.

This may be my "woo woo" talking here, but I strongly believe that we are all just people, trying to live our best lives, and do better. I choose to lead by example to be the change I want to see in my community through events and service. I hope you all have am amazing rest of your weekend, and think about supporting all the wonderful and amazing LGBTQIA+ businesses in Lincoln all year long. 🌎☮️

Still dreaming about last weekends Secret Garden event design.
We brought it. My new team made sure that EVERY detail was covered. This is my absolute favorite client. Each year they challenge my creativity. This year was no exception.
My favorite was our photo backdrop. I wanted an ethereal garden entrance. I think we nailed it, complete with live ferns and fresh green curly willow.

I am so excited to name our 2nd partner for our 2024 LUXX Gives Back program, Clinic With A Heart
We will be doing all of the decor for the "SOLD OUT" Rx for Hope Gala tomorrow. Expect beautiful tablescapes and selfie backdrop for our 300+ guests!

But, I am more excited about being contracted to help with all of their 2024 fundraising events. We have some great things in store for you.

If you are not familiar with CWH. They provide completely free medical office visits to the under insured and noninsured. I could not be more proud to be part of this team. They have a true passion to make a difference in Lincoln that is so aligned with what I am all about. I couldn't be more thrilled to help navigate and build their fundraising calendar.

Feeling so blessed to get to speak to the next generation of event planners at UNL today. I kept it raw and real about navigating events as a career. Being a serial opportunist, and remembering to give your event crew a lunch break!
As usual, I was so damn nervous. I'm not a public speaker. I'm a "Behind the scenes girl". But the questions were so good and I am truly passionate about what I do. So, it went by so quickly.

I began my career in the floral industry in 2017 managing a locally-owned flower shop. I then moved into the wholesale sector to gain a better understanding of the materials and skills I would need to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces. A Different Type of Corporate Event Planner

In 2016 I moved to Lincoln from sunny, Southern California. I willing left my family, friends, and my professional event clients and contacts that I had built over my very long career in events to start a new chapter in the Midwest. Crazy, right? Starting from scratch in events in a new market in my early 40’s??!! Who does that? This girl!

I started almost immediately at the Lincoln Journal Star as their Event Specialist. As a one-woman crew, I loved the rush of coordinating, executing and even creating new community events. I met so many wonderful small and medium sized business owners through events like Lincoln’s Choice Awards, Inspire, Holiday Cooking Showcase, Thrive! Expo and many other events. It was during the first Inspire that I coordinated in 2017, that I became aware of so many AMAZING women and their philanthropic efforts. I also, had the benefit of reviewing submissions by local Lincoln non-profits that were women run. The passion and drive to serve the community by these women was truly AMAZING! These companies had very little marking or advertising budgets (if any) and were so grateful and appreciative for any exposure our event could bring to their cause. It truly inspired me and became the catalyst to launch LUXX Events in 2018.

I wanted a corporate event planning business that not only could pull off large scale events like trade shows, conferences, fairs & festivals, and consulting work (like I was used to doing my entire career), but be nimble enough to help small businesses with custom events that built brand loyalty. It also had to have a charitable component that helped non-profits navigate the event world and build a solid foundation that they could easily replicate year after year once shown the blueprint.

Even though LUXX Events, LLC is a for profit company, and we love our corporate and small business clients, we know we can always do more to help our community. That’s why we created the LUXX Give Back Program. Each year we select 1-2 local small or start up charities to help guide them through putting together an annual event plan, help execute events, understand event budgets, using social media to boost attendance and fundraising streams of revenue.
