One of the most valuable lessons I learned in 2024 has significantly impacted my business: the importance of meticulous planning. Relying on 'fixing it in post' is not only inefficient but also undermines productivity and creativity. Through working with an increasing number of clients, I’ve realized how time-consuming and frustrating it is to resolve minor inconsistencies during post-production. The reality is, one hour of detailed planning can save three hours of editing later. 1. The price shoppers, don't value your worth, they simply want the most for as little as possible. And as you hone your skills and master your craft you should avoid these people like the plague. 2. This is a life lesson that I've learned early in my business. I under-promise and over-deliver all the time. For example, if you say you're going to deliver 10 images, deliver 30. If you say it's going to take 3 weeks to complete the project, deliver the final product in 1. Trust me you'll thank me for this one. 3. Advertise to your ideal clients. I have a pre consultation meeting with everybody prior to booking. This is to provide the client with information about working together and to see if they are the type of client that I enjoy working with. ****Bonus tip #4**** 4. Never stop working on improving your craft.
