As we “approach” the opening of our new storefront, we’d like to reiterate our commitment to using only the best oils in our meal prep meals and catering. At Simply French, quality is our top priority, and our number one oil is always pure olive oil – never mixed with canola oil. Here’s a look at the oils we trust:

- **Olive Oil** 🌱: Our primary choice for its health benefits and rich, authentic flavor.

- **Avocado Oil** 🥑: A heart-healthy option that’s versatile and smooth, ideal for both cooking and drizzling.

- **Coconut Oil** 🥥: Perfect for high-heat cooking with a subtle tropical note.

- **Duck Fat** 🦆: Adds a luxurious, savory depth to many of our French dishes.

While we prioritize these high-quality oils, we recognize the importance of maintaining authentic flavors in diverse cuisines. For example, in certain Asian recipes, a neutral seed oil like sesame oil is essential. However, we only use seed oils when absolutely necessary for flavor, never to cut costs.

It’s important to note that not all oils or fats are created equal. Seed oils are linked to higher inflammation, and we avoid using them unless the recipe demands it. You will never see Simply French using soybean oil, vegetable oil, corn oil, or margarine. Our values focus on quality over cost, ensuring every meal we prepare is both delicious and nourishing. 🌟

Simply French Kitchen is thrilled to announce that we will soon be offering in-person Food Manager Certification classes with testing at our brand-new commercial kitchen! 🎉

Our course will be led by a health and safety regulation guru who will guide you through the material and proctor the test. No need to study on your own and drag your feet to complete the course – you can have it all done in one day! 🌿

This is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your business journey in a commercial kitchen environment. We're aiming for a Saturday or Sunday in early August, once our commercial kitchen is closer to completion. The fee will be very reasonable, around $150, which includes the hands-on learning and the proctored test on-site. We will need a minimum of 8 people to hold the class so spread the word!

If you prefer to take the course online, note that it’s not much cheaper. So why not join us in person for the full experience?

They say if you haven't jumped on the sourdough bandwagon, you're kneading to catch up! 😄🥖 Half the country is now master bakers, and I've joined the dough-licious journey. 🎉 From experimenting with organic bread and all-purpose flour to topping our sourdough focaccia with everything but the kitchen sink, the results have been a carb-tastic hit with our eager guinea pigs! 🐹 Next stop: gluten-free sourdough starters and unleashing gluten-free sourdough EVERYTHING at our upcoming store opening. We’re thrilled to share that the journey to bring our own commissary/ ghost kitchen as well as Simply French Texas back to your fridge has officially begun! 🇫🇷🤠 From signing the lease last October to working tirelessly with architects, kitchen consultants, and the city of Little Elm, every step has been a labor of love. 💪✨ Now, with permits in hand and construction underway, we can’t wait to invite you on this mouthwatering adventure. 🏗️🍽️ Stay tuned for updates on our progress and the grand opening date – it’s going to be simply magnifique! 🎊🥂

The menu for the week of December 4th is now open on our website (pick-up and delivery Tuesday 12/5)
December is already here, and we are working on our last Christmas menu, in our current kitchen and we have been working this week on a new recipe and a fancy Christmas meal. Before we publish our menu, we need to finalize our dessert selection. A Christmas menu will be posted this upcoming weekend (12/3).
December almost marks the end of a chapter where Simply French grew from a team of 1 (aka me!) to a team of 5, made thousands of meals to feed your families, catered your events, and basically went from a hobby to a business venture. We have to take the time off cooking while we are building the kitchen and creating a new space for us to grow as doing both is not "working" and I need to focus on financing, equipment, licensing, contracts and everything in between. With that said, our last cooking day at 100 Hardwicke Lane is 12/31. We will see you when we open the new store at 2410 E Eldorado pkwy, suite 140, Little Elm, TX 75068 (corner of Eldorado and Little Elm pkwy).
Hot meals we are offering this week (beef bourguignon, chicken Parm, Lebanese bowl..) will not be offered again this year. Beef Bourguignon is a comforting and elevated dinner at the same time. When we vacuum seal your meal, it will keep for at least 3 months in the freezer.

We will do our best to cross post from our public Facebook group and will post the menu there. Our Instagram (www.instagram.com/simplyfrenchtexas) is still under our control.
Ordering for the weekly menu will close SUNDAY, 12/3 at 10 am or earlier if we sell out.
