Our Story
Precious Memories, Inc., the first wedding consultant business in Little Rock in April 1986 was launched by Garlene Lewis. At that time Precious Memories provided full service wedding consultation and planning service for prospective brides with our byline “We provide everything but the groom”. Over the next three years the business provided not only wedding consultant and planning services, but consultant services for event planning for several Central Arkansas venues. In October 1989 providing flowers for weddings and events became the main focus of the business and Floral Express was born. Little Rock’s premier drive-thru florist was introduced and located on the corner of Rodney Parham and Markham on the parking lot behind what is presently Bank OZK. Two years later in 1991, due to the growth of the business, Floral Express was relocated to Cantrell Road, and also added locations in East End on Arch Street, Downtown, Metropolitan /Simmons Tower and in Maumelle as America’s Fresh Flower Outlet. Floral Express moved from the Tower in November 2019 to Little Rock’s newly establish “Arts District” at 3rd and Cross Streets rebranding “In Memory” as Floral Express at Garlene’s Garden with an emphasis on container gardens for your decks, patios & porches. Still providing outstanding floral, catering & planning services for wedding, corporate events and every occasion on your calendar. "We deliver around the corner or around the world." Floral Express is actively involved in community events and support The Arkansas Repertory Theatre (The Rep), The Arts Center, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, United Way, Salvation Army and other worthy causes. Since 1994 Floral Express has been an active member of the Arkansas Florists Association, the state floral association hosting the largest floral convention and trade market in the nation, focused on furthering floral education in Arkansas. We are also a member of the Society of American Florists (SAF), the floral business authority, keeping abreast of the happenings within our industry. It is our commitment to our community and our industry that propels us to offer our customers the very latest in floral designs, techniques and the outstanding varieties of flowers available from the most commonly known and loved roses to the exotic and not so common tropical flowers.
