Marie-Margot designs bridal and evening gowns for the woman who wants to express her sense of elegance and sophistication through a custom designed gown. The personal attention Maggie gives each of her clients begins with a design consultation in which she gets a feel not only for the bride's vision of her gown, but her lifestyle, the wedding venue, and her budget, from which she creates a set of
sketches ensuring the final design perfectly communicates the bride's vision. Brides are often amazed at how the gown comes together piece by piece with each fitting, as she sees the process flow from the initial design, through the muslin creation to the final gown. It's demanding work, but Maggie feels a bride who knows what she wants, should get what she wants and starting from scratch marks a bridal gown as a treasure in time. Maggie fondly associates her interest in creating elegant gowns with her mother, who designed prom dresses for her and her three sisters throughout high school and then their bridal gowns. They were always elegantly dressed and the passion to create works of art with fabric still resonates. Maggie took fashion design and construction courses in college and has been making bridal gowns for the last 30 years for friends and family. She resolved to share her talents with the general public in 2004, when she founded "Marie-Margot Bridal Couture" in the style of French couture and fashion. Maggie earned a BA from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA from Colorado State University. She is on the Board of Directors Board of CRBC, a coalition of small businesses. In her free time, she likes to bicycle, hike, read, cook, yoga, travel and spend time with her daughter, son and daughter-in-law and grandson.
