Lucky Loyal Customer of the week: Ben R! We are celebrating our 3rd year in business by celebrating our loyal fans. Once a week at a random public event- we will choose our “Lucky Loyal Customer”to receive their meal on the house. This isn’t just a passion or even a hobby—It’s our livelihood, and our loyal fans keep us in business! We want you to know how much we appreciate you! We are lucky to have loyal customers keeping us going.

Over the past few years Ben has showed up at many of the random places we pop up! Always a smile, always Smashburgers and we are ALWAYS glad to see him!

A dog in need, named Marty! Who can give this guy a chance?

***FOSTER HOME NEEDED*** LIVERMORE, CA

We are pleased to introduce you to Marty, a chi mix who is currently at the San Jose shelter (A1353769). He is thought to be 8-years-old, but may be a little younger. Marty came to the shelter as a stray and is now in need of rescue.

He’s a very sweet boy who allows full handling and he’s dog friendly. While he has a little hitch in his giddy up, he is otherwise considered to be generally healthy.

This shelter, along with the rest of them, is overflowing with unwanted dogs. We know we can’t save each of them, but we can sure try to save some of them. Please consider opening your home and your heart to this sweetheart. You provide Marty with love and care, we cover all expenses. $5 Friday. You know how we feel about Senior Dogs here at Marty's Joint Food Truck. It’s so easy to support this Livermore local rescue Tails of Gray.

Our boy Joey – what an absolute sweetheart this old soul is…

He went into our vet on Wednesday for his check-up and there was significant concern over his excessive coughing, especially with his heart murmur. We ended up doing X-rays and a full blood panel to see what’s going on. He also had fur removed from his teeth that had been lodged in there, and his in-grown toenails were trimmed. His big spa day will happen once he’s past the cough.

In very good news, the coughing is determined to be possible bronchitis and/or tracheitis, or kennel cough. He’s being treated with antibiotics and a strong cough syrup. His kidneys and liver are in good shape, thankfully! So, he just needs to get past this cough, and he will be feeling much, much better.

For now, as he recovers, he has two speeds: on or off! On for food and walks, off for most everything else as he catches up on sleep now that he knows he is safe and sound.

Joey’s vet visit was $1,138, including the X-rays, vaccinations, lab work, radiology consult, nail trim, and meds. If we can have just of our TOG family donate $5 today, this will cover one half of Joey’s vet visit!!! With the cost of veterinary care rising, it is amazing what a lot of $5 donations will do for our medical fund. We are on Team Joey!
