I think all involved would agree that the joy in the eyes of the children... The most awesome parade ... The most perfect Santa and the community of Livingston KY welcomed Christmas home!! Thank you to everyone involved,each special touch and all the people who joined to show our love of each other and our community!

Livingston’s Christmas parade is at 5 and line up starts at 4 at the Pentecostal Church above Marathon.
Afterwards, stop by the Depot for Santa, presents, hot chocolate, and a great time!

CSX STATEMENT

At approximately 2:23pm today, a CSX train derailed north of Livingston, KY. Preliminary information indicates that at least 16 cars were involved, including two molten sulphur cars that have been breached and have lost some of their contents which is on fire. When molten sulphur burns it is known to release sulphur dioxide. Specialized equipment is being deployed to conduct air monitoring in the area. CSX is in close contact with the Rockcastle county emergency teams as they continue to assess the situation and we appreciate their swift response. We will work together with the local authorities to secure the area and safety is our top priority as we develop a recovery plan. CSX encourages residents in proximity to the incident that are concerned about their safety to utilize the lodging that the company has secured in Mt. Vernon, KY. In addition to the hotels, CSX teams is working with local restaurants to provide meals for affected residents.

Concerned residents can go to the hotels and eat at the restaurants listed below. CSX is covering the cost for both. They can call CSX for info at 1-800-805-9840.
