It may be hot outside but I am dreaming of this winter wedding! Mandy and Dave wanted a small, intimate wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family at the bride's family home and that is just what they got. It may have been one of the coldest weddings I ever officiated but the amount of love was so heartwarming! Much love to these amazing humans!

All wedding vendors know that couples have been put through the ringer trying to plan and have their weddings through a pandemic and us wedding peeps are right there with you just trying to navigate through this craziness and be a listening and supportive ear. Just know that maybe everything for your wedding may not be how you envisioned it, the most important thing is marrying the person you are deeply and madly in love with. Everything else are minor details.

Get To Know Me Monday!

- Family is the most important thing to me and these people right here are my world!

- I am a HUGE animal lover and believe that we can learn more from animals than we can ever teach them, especially about love and acceptance.

- Being in the country brings me peace and contentment

- Riding on a Harley gives you time to clear your mind and appreciate the beauty around you.

- I love to create! Whether that be spending hours in my craft room just jamming to music and letting my creativity flow or cooking or baking for the people I love.

- I am a hugger. Bring it in for a big squeeze!

- Some of my favorite things are clean fresh sheets on my bed, the smell of a bonfire, spending time with rad people, cuddling with my pups, a cup of peppermint tea and fuzzy socks to name a few.

- As I have aged, I care less about what others think. Dance if the mood strikes, laugh if something is funny, speak up if something doesn't feel right and live a life you can be proud of.

*Halloween makes me giddy! The scary movies, haunted ghost stories, spooky decor, pumpkins....on and on! Oh, and I LOVE to scare people!

*I am a lover of old stuff. Antiques are just the coolest. The craftmanship that went into old homes, furniture and quilts fascinate me. I wish I could know the story of these old pieces

*I am a big sob kabob. I cry when I am happy, sad, mad... it doesn't matter. If you put on a Disney movie. Forget it, I am a mess!

*I love to sing off tune, very loudly and dance around the house just to annoy my husband. Keeps the spark in a marriage right?

Whenever I meet with wedding couples I always recommend hiring a professional videographer. I understand it is an additional expense and some couples will say that videographers are too expensive for just "videotaping" their wedding 😳 It is so much more than that. The creative eye a videographer has to have, the professional equipment needed, the amount of time spent editing, etc. Your wedding day is a day you can't redo and to have a video to look back on is priceless. Wedding couples in the Omaha metro area are so fortunate to have some incredibly talented videographers to choose from. Definitely look into hiring a PROFESSIONAL videographer. You won't regret it.

Say WHAT?!?!? Congrats! Now the wedding planning begins! So many decisions to be made. Setting your date, making a guest list, choosing your wedding party, etc.... My advice to you is really talk it over with your Boo to figure out what you want your wedding day to look like. The possibilities are endless. What is the vibe you want for your day? How can you incorporate your personalities? My advice to you is to choose vendors who listen to you and work with you to put your own flair into your wedding. There are so many awesome wedding pros who want you to have the day you dreamed of so tell them about your ideas and ask for their input. We have lots of tips and tricks to save you stress and headaches and make your wedding one to remember.

Better late than never! May 2021 be filled with love, hope and kindness. 2020 put us all through the ringer and we may have struggled but we have persevered and I know I for one would love to see more love. I wish all my wedding couples joy and a beautiful 2021!
