It only took several thousands of years to recognized this day! Unfortunately so many lives were taken, sooo many but so many injustices were done on innocent people, so much ignorance from so many back then (like having a white and black cemetery), they’re rights were so many times violated, they had no voices, so many rapes were done on the poor women, and finally they made it a holiday to celebrate freedom! I cannot comprehend how they had them as slaves like property? And it went on for sooooooo many years actually it’s also happening with our women where they have them as s*x slaves now human beings still have so much to learn. But one thing is I’m so happy for those that have fought for this so much it was worth it to continue for those that have given their lives for this cause. Yes I will honor today those that suffered through this awful era and also honor those that made a difference!!!!!!!!! So I will be watching all those movies in Netflix.
