Growing as a DJ means… when you accept a gig only to find out that the music format is outside of your wheelhouse, yet you somehow pull it off. I was tasked with spinning “tropical/salsa/bachata/reggaetón/urban pop”. With some serious quick study and an appreciation for old school musicians like Celia Cruz and Héctor Lavoe, I feel like I brought it tonight. It was pretty magical! The show was full of exquisite, professional and talented burlesque performers! What an amazing event! I wish I could have caught it all on film! ☺️😍🎧🎶🎤🖤🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀

My 4th print is based on “Stand and Deliver”! This song and music video jumped out at me as a kid. It married punk rock and theater perfectly and immediately brings you into the character of The Dandy Highwayman. I didn’t know what the hell I was seeing but I knew it was different and I knew that it ruled! This song helped me understand that, in a song, you can be anybody you want!
