Armani Amezcua started his musical journey as a child when his father, an avid music audiophile, first introduced him to his vinyl record collection. Growing up with this influence really helped in shaping his taste
in music and being able to appreciate all forms. When he was in 4th grade, Armani was enrolled in Music Lessons and from then on he learned to play many instruments while participating in school bands, high school and college jazz bands, to performing in Super Bowl 31 in the Michael Jackson Halftime Show in 1993 in Pasadena, CA. That same year Armani enrolled himself in a Communications Course where he visited local radio stations in Ventura and Santa Barbara. Their he witnessed live radio being fed to the masses. It was at that moment Armani knew he wanted to pursue a career as a DJ and have an impact in breaking new artists and new music. Armani's favorite music at the time was Underground Hip Hop and Electronic Music, and in 1992, with his first credit card, he went on a shopping spree and purchased his first set of Technics 1200 Turntables and Mixer. Within 1 year after hundreds of hours of practicing and collecting records, he was mixing live on Ventura Counties #1 Station Q104.7FM. He did various warm up sets in clubs opening up for Richard Vission, Dj Enrie, DJ Devine, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Prince Paul, DJ Babu, DJ Premier, before he would be considered one of the best all around DJ's in the 805. It was after that when he started getting gigs at big events such as clubs on State Street Santa Barbara, and added as a regular mixer on KCSB 91.9fm in Santa Barbara, Q-1047fm in Ventura, KTAA 94.3fm Fresno, and KTUU Power 92 in Palm Springs, CA. But it would be KCSB where Armani made his home for a decade where he hosted a variety of shows including Ground Zero, a Electronic Music Show and The Blueprint of Hip Hop. Armani Amezcua joined Epsilon Project in 2004 on the EPSOUND label as the DJ for the group of 6 MC’s, who he helped in producing and distribution of the first records titled “Raising The Bar” in 2007, and “Audacity” in 2010, which gained worldwide reviews and sold throughout the world.
