3 Photography Tips for Editing or Shooting in Harsh Light:⁣
1. Use a Reflector or Diffuser: When shooting in harsh sunlight, use a diffuser to soften the light or a reflector to bounce light onto shadowed areas for more balanced exposure.⁣
2. Expose for the Highlights: In harsh lighting, set your exposure for the brightest parts of your image to avoid blown-out highlights. You can recover shadows in post-processing more easily than highlights.⁣
3. Edit for Contrast and Warmth: In post, reduce harsh shadows by lifting the blacks and shadows slightly. Add a subtle warmth to the image with a slight temperature or split-toning adjustment for a more natural and soft look.⁣
