If you asked me when I was 10 years old what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have said a fashion designer without blinking. I love history and still do and Yves Saint Laurent, Vionnet, Dior, Madame Gres were my heroes. I also have the most supportive parents who let me indulge in art in every way possible. They still are my biggest cheerleaders.

Then I had the most unfortunate circumstances of picking the wrong companies to work for after I graduated from Otis. Fashion industry is a tough industry filled with many humans who lack empathy and decency. That led me to the only solution, starting my own company to create my own working environment. That was 2000. I started Saja out of my living and grew it little by little and took it all the way to NoLita in New York.

But somewhere along the way, I fell out of love. I needed a different challenge but didn’t know what. Then I had my daughter and everything changed. Eventually, my husband and I would pack our bags (more like 400+ boxes) and we drove our dog, cat and daughter across the country and came back to where it all started, Los Angeles.

There I found my new passion, stop motion animation and went back to USC MFA program to learn the fundamentals of animation. Since then, I have made several stop motion animated shorts and it’s been an exhilarating journey.

I knew for some time that I had to let go of my baby, Saja Wedding. I just didn’t want to, it’s been part of me since my twenties but I no longer had a deep connection. So time has come for me to start my gentle goodbye. Thank you to all the brides of the past and some in future for finding Saja Wedding and sharing one of the most important moments of your lives with me. I am honored and privileged.

Thank you for all the wonderful years. I have been meaning to do this for a while but finally have a courage to let my baby go. Saja Wedding is going on 75% off sale. To those whose voices of bigotry, discrimination, religious rightiousness who have hijacked the voices of the majority people of this nation, you chose the life void of empathy, worthiness and purpose that is good and decent. You do not represent me, nor the majority, you shame us.

When you open your minds and hearts to others, really open your eyes to the beauty that surrounds us, you will see, it’s a life worth living.

Embrace the love shared by not just straight and narrow, but all ways possible that makes different people happy. Afterall, we are all individualistic and that’s what makes life interesting.

Look at our lovely couple Ruth and Emi. Emi decided to surprise Ruth with an elopement wedding dress. Not only did she find the dress Ruth likes, Emi found a perfectly fitting dress. Look at these stunning two. I see nothing but a life goal we should all be striving for.
