Because not all big weddings need a full service wedding planner. Take it from Nadine who planned her big wedding in Miami but added a day-of producer for 10 hours from PLANNIE to help run the event since she was busy standing at the altar and could not make sure the florist and DJ arrived on time for set up at the reception venue! A full service event planner typically handles all the aspects of planning an event as well as onsite event day-of management. With full service event planning, you are in the back seat and the planner is driving, meaning s/he is the one speaking to the vendors, scheduling meetings, updating budgets, and overall keeping you on track. It is a real luxury to let a planner manage and orchestrate all the details that go into planning an event but is also why this is the most costly version of the service planners offer. Event : When you're turning 60 but you're 21 at heart, Miami Beach is the city for a destination birthday party!

This birthday boy worked with Plannie's local Miami planner to put together a weekend of fun. From fun dinner reservations at "it" restaurants to a private villa on the water, guests enjoyed the best of Miami, including a dinner catered by Michelle Bernstein Catering on the villa's private dock.

Event : This couple worked with 3 of our specialists to research, plan, and execute this big little wedding. Open to any property in the world, we started the couple with a Plannie network travel agent who researched boutique hotel properties they could buy out. Next, they worked with a local event planner in the region to help find all the top vendors and create a design plan. Finally on the weekend of the event, they opted to have a day-of producer onsite to help manage their intimate but intricate wedding.

You've probably heard both terms "month-of" and "day-of" planner but what is the difference?

What does a month-of event planner do?
A month-of planner typically helps to finalize all the details for the event and attends the event to help manage onsite. It's called a "month-of" because the planner typically comes into the picture a month before the wedding or event to create timelines and clean up the vendor logistics. With a month-of planner, the hosts plan most of the event but hand off the finalizing to the planner shortly before the event.

What does a day-of event planner do?
Here's where it gets confusing. Month-of planning used to be more commonly known as "day-of" even though it usually meant starting before the actual day of the wedding or event.

More and more, planners now call this same service Month-of planning. Now there are some planners who will truly be a day-of coordinator but it's not common as most planners want to be involved in organizing the details before they arrive on the day.

What if I truly need day-of-event help only?
Glad you asked! Finding a professional planner who can come to your event just for the day of, meaning not planning anything in advance but literally showing up on the day to help and work the event, well, that wasn't easy to find until there was Plannie!
