Growing up, our family entertained a lot, so I come from a long line of cooks and hostesses, giving meticulous attention to every detail. Years working in the unpredictable and perfection driven world of television production honed my planning skills while my taste for lovely events was fine tuned at the Style Network. At La TEA Da, we can provide full service event planning or dessert tables or flowers or all of the above.

Today on Dia de los Mu***os I’m taking time to remember my dearly departed family & friends.
From my post a few years back, Dia de los Mu***os reminds me how close we are to departure, regularly. I don’t know about you but every day I feel like I’m hurtling to the edge of life. Now is the time to make friends with our dead people. And animals🐾 Time for the altar, lighting candles and putting out favorite foods for the brief pass our spirits get for a quick check in when the border between the spirit world and the real world dissolve. Custom says they return to the world of the living to feast, dance and play music with family and friends. Marigolds, flor de Muerto’s, scent and bright blooms help attract souls. I’m looking forward to the party before they head back to their own after life, and not to be somber, but where one day we’ll join them. Such a beautiful holiday really.
