Along with the list of firsts this is another. I’ve wanted to use the funny sounding pantyhose trick. Basically you get a pair of brown pantyhose and stretch it over your camera lens and it gets you this nice haze effect without having to buy a dedicated filter since they can be expensive especially if you have a big lens (like my 28-70 which uses a 95mm filter) multiple lenses. I do like how it performed and it didn’t really get in the way like I thought it might, although I think it came out more hazy than I thought and sucked away some of the details. Of course I think it would have a much nicer effect if you use an actually filter or even if you just did it in post. Not bad for a couple buck though! 8/10 for me

Speaking of getting more into the creative stuff I finally decided to try out some double exposures since I’ve seen them a ton and always thought they were so cool. My R5 and most camera now have built in double exposure settings so it’s really easy to get started but man I definitely need to do some research on how to achieve what I’m aiming to get and how double exposures work hahaha. Anyways here’s a bunch of photos of one of my favorite subject at one of my favorite locations. Tried to tell a story though the photos with emotion and body language, see if you can decipher what they mean or if I’m just a goofball who can’t transmit feelings though photos 🤣

Been dying to take more portraits and luckily my buddy came through and we went out and took some bangers. I’ve wanted to get into creative portraits for a long time and it just takes getting outside and doing it for the whole thing to become a reality. Work hard play hard I guess 🤙
