I'll be traveling to California this summer for an arts residency at Dorland Mountain Arts. Working on my b&w landscapes photography project in Temecula, as well as desert areas east of Temecula. And, I should have time to work on some long-neglected poems for a possible new book.

As an art residency program, Dorland is one of California's premier cultural organizations.

The new gallery hanging system is up, and new work from several projects are on exhibit and ready for grand re-opening April 5 from 6pm-8pm at Aperture - A Creative Space, # 169 And-A-Half inside main hall of Mellwood Art Center.

The move to Studio #169 And-A-Half in main hall of The Mellwood Art Center is completed. Remodeling is done, and 4 projects are now on exhibit: Unexpected, Sky 'Scapes, Tiny 'Scapes, and Beaches.

"Unexpected" is the well-received 2023 project featuring abstracts found on the sides of commercial dumpsters.

"Sky 'Scapes" are Eye in the Sky views of landscapes and landmarks, and feature locations such as Atlantic City NJ, Santa Monica CA, Lewes DE, Ocean City MD, and other locales.

"Tiny 'Scapes" are small fine art black&white landscapes printed on rag paper.

"Beaches" is a set sepia prints featuring scenes from beaches around the USA.

Look for a grand re-opening sometime in March.
