I did not realize the level of anxiety this gives me when I'm trying to get content out there. The facebook scam bots with "YOUR PAGE IS ABOUT TO GET REMOVED FROM EXISTENCE" is really anxiety inducing.

Story Time:
Some people have such an infectious energy, it resonates with you in the most wonderful way. The way they welcome you into their life with such warmth and kindness, it leaves you in awe of the goodness that exists in the world. One of those people is Tonya GodseyLowe, the owner of Blondie's & Jim's Bistro. Ms. Tonya, whose pursuit of a healthy and wholehearted life, has led her to embark an incredible entrepreneur journey.
Our paths crossed about 7 years ago, one lovely afternoon, at a network event where Ms. Tonya shared her journey with owning a spice company called KeepitSpicey Lowe. We instantly connected on our love for food and she shared her passion for advocating a healthy lifestyle. The most magical moment of this meeting was her sharing this SUPER SECRET DESSERT with me called SHOODIE BREAD. OH MY GOODNESS you guys, it was sooooo freaking delicious. I was an instant fan and I even cook with her spices because they're so flavorful!
Well at the time, the idea that I was pursuing, did not pan out and the market had changed with covid. We kept in touch on social media and I just hoped we would collaborate somehow. Then last year, I decided I was going to be a DJ and meanwhile, Ms. Tonya, a force of nature and role model for women, not only successfully built a spice empire, she also opened a southern style restaurant serving AMAZING food with all natural and organic ingredients.
In February 2024, I met up with a friend at her restaurant, and we caught up on life. She gave me so much respect and kindness, I literally cried that day. She treated me like family and hugged me as though she's hugging her daughter. After sharing my journey with her, she was ready for collaborating on a project together. That's how we decided to do a Pop-Up Day Party with Begum. A party where we can showcase our creative crafts.
I hope that those reading this and coming to the event can feel the love, kindness and compassion that brought the two of us together. Whether you're a local or visiting town, we are so excited to show Louisville THE BEST way to start the Derby Week right!

So excited to have met the Twinjabi fellas tonight and dance at the Speed Art Museum! They were so humble and easy to approach. It's always a pleasure to learn about people's stories and backgrounds. Really proud of these brothers coming together and creating something that brings so much joy 💪🏽 Love supporting artists and seeing creatives in their element! Wishing these talented artists a lot of success their way 🙌🏽 Also the paintings at the India exhibition were awesome. I only captured a picture of the map of my people. 😁 Altogether, grateful for a lovely evening! ❤️
