I apologize for being a little MIA recently, one of our dogs unexpectedly passed away and it’s been an extremely difficult time for us. Taking a break from posting on business social media was something that was necessary for me.

$25 DOG ADOPTIONS: Looking to add a DOG to the family? Today-Sunday all of our dogs ages 6 months and older are available to adopt for just $25! Our kennels are FULL of amazing dogs right now -- we have nearly 70 available with a variety of personalities, looks, ages and sizes, including the ones pictured!

Our friendly adoption team is happy to point you to dogs who would be a great fit for your family, so stop out and visit today-Sunday! And please spread the word - let's find these dogs homes!

Pro tips:

• If you’re interested in specific dogs, be sure to check their online profiles at ARL-Iowa.org. They will include instructions for how to meet any dogs who are available for adoption by appointment, including ones in foster homes. If there are no instructions, just come out and visit!

• Most of our dogs are located at ARL Main, but we have many more available than will fit in our adoption area. If you are interested in a particular dog but don’t see it when you visit, ask a staff member for assistance.

• Want a child or dog introduction before adopting? Bring your kids or dogs with you!
