Heyyoo!! Our one and only U-PICK this Fall is happening on Sunday October 26th from 9am to 1pm. I usually do two of them to give folks more options for dates but I also usually am not growing a whole human in my bod 😂

I hope y’all can make it out to the farm and take home some of the last blooms of the season. Bring your humans, a picnic, and enjoy live music by and while you shop .rose_ceramics and wander our fields. You can even say hi to the ladies and peep our new farm stand!🐓 🐓🐓💐💐💐

Get entry tickets via link in bio then pay for what you pick in person. Wearing your Halloween costume is highly encouraged! I may even give away a free pick to the best dressed. Kids enter free!

Coming to you from the tomato/dahlia/celosia tunnel to share some news with y’all that I won’t be able to hide for much longer. I’m pregnant with a baby boy! We’re expecting his arrival in early December.

It feels pretty special to be bringing a 3rd generation onto this land. I can’t wait to share the magic of the garden with this little guy and ride the waves of parenthood with .mujic

Many of you have been asking and yes, you can order Mother’s Day bouquets for delivery this year! I may have been slow to get them listed on my website, but they’re there now. Deliveries go out Saturday afternoon and orders close Thursday so don’t wait to order as quantities are limited. Don’t forget to include a personal note to express your love 💕

Here’s a little snippet from my most recent newsletter “I still feel so grateful to be able to continue a multi-generational business that is rooted in love for the botanical world. It’s a living legacy, a living art piece that I get to add color to every day. As a 3rd generation horticulturist, I feel like the stuff of plants runs through my veins. I might even start photosynthesizing soon lol. No but really, cut flowers are a way that many, many people can experience the wonder and beauty of plants whether they want to grow them or not. And for me, cut flowers were a gateway drug into the world of plants and ecology. Now, not only am I obsessed with cut flowers, I’m also obsessed with obscure thistles and grasses, weird aquatic and terrestrial animal species, and the greater ecosystems in which they all live. Getting a bouquet of flowers can be so simple yet such a powerful way to bring beauty into our daily lives and connect with Mother Nature.”

On Sunday march 23, Alija and I will be taking folks around the beautiful property of Finegold Ranch and Trust on a natural history walk. This is a fundraising event for the continued preservation of Finegold Ranch. Get to know the local flora, fauna and fungi and enjoy a day out in the beautiful oak woodlands. Picnic and wild mushroom tasting by the creek to follow. Donations are sliding scale, no one will be turned away!

Bring a picnic and your hiking boots. Friendly for all ages as we’ll be moving at the speed of natural history 🐢 dm me if you have any questions or need to coordinate a ride. High clearance vehicles are recommended. Hope to see you there!

I’ve made a decision that I’m honestly really excited about but also feels a little sad. The era of the Flower CSA is ending and new things are on the horizon.

Like a lot of amazing things, it’s CSA was born out of the pandemic. A time that forced small businesses and artists to change and adapt. It feels that call to change has returned again. Although I loved doing them, the widespread deliveries and extra time and coordination bound me up. Just like in the garden, if we let the weeds get out of hand, they choke the flowers. This is not sustainable and I need to open up some space so that new things can bloom.

My commitment to land stewardship and drive to bring beauty to the community is stronger than ever. We will continue to provide flowers to the community at The Vibeyard Farmer’s Market where my family has been selling cut flowers and live plants for almost 30 years! Aaannnndd….I’m working on building a farm stand where you can pick up flowers on a more flexible schedule. U picks will still be here too!

Thank you all for being here over these years and sticking by us through the many skins we’ve shed. Even though it feels a little scary, I have no doubt that this decision will bring so many more beautiful things to the land and this community 🧡

Announcement: Our first market of the year will be Saturday, February 1st! We’re picking things back up earlier than usual this year due do having a lot of product. Mostly in the form of Stocks. Shall we call it our stock market?…. with this being our IPO of the year? Frankly these flowers are the only kind of stocks I care about. How about you??

Stocks are an annual flower in the brassicaceae family. Yes they are related to broccoli, cauliflower and mustard! They have a wonderful fragrance reminiscent of sweet clove, edible flowers, and a pretty exceptional vase life of up to 2 weeks.

I’ve missed y’all and am looking forward to seeing all my people very soon! 🥰

The most precious thing I’ve seen in a while - A tiny eastern Newt living under a mushroom of the same color.

We got to travel to Vermont last weekend to visit some friends. I saw a hardwood deciduous forest for the first time and it was so beautiful even though the leaves had already fallen.

It’s almost time for me to take my winter hiatus y’all! We have two more farmer’s markets , a handful of workshops, and one private group. A custom botanical backdrop for and a surprise launch of an art project I’ve been working on for a while.

It’s that time again friends…Holiday Wreath Workshop tickets are live!

We are stoked to be returning to our OG host in downtown Fresno. I hosted the first ever Wreath Workshop there 7 years ago and are so happy to be returning.
Many of you have been asking about this so don’t wait to get tickets! Space is limited and we always sell out. Two dates are available on Friday evening and Saturday morning December 2 & 3!

Over the past few years, the gopher problem has been getting worse. Part of being a no-till farm means that root eating creatures make their homes in our fields. Our interplanting with semi permanent trees and shrubs is providing additional undisturbed shelter for them as the trees establish. Last winter they destroyed all but 2 of my poppy plants and took out a lot of sunnies this fall. Hoping to have a little less loss this coming year. Shout out to Alija for being the gopher guy .mujic ! He also took this photo which I find incredibly beautiful.
