Our Story

The Board of Madison’s Sessions at McPike Park will re-convene The Sessions at McPike (formerly Central) Park on August 12th. The Pursuit of Happiness Sessions were a wonderful success last year and have set the tone for the Sessions way into the future. The Pursuit of Happiness Sessions will be a full weekend (8/21-23). Once again with two music stages, Kanopy Dance Company choreographers and dancers and the final days of Madison Comedy Week will add to the magic on these early summer days. The Sessions concert series will have four shows in August and feature one or two sensational touring bands that will perform on our beautiful stage preceded by a fine local group. The dates for this year are August 12,13,14 and on the following week August , 20. All four free musical evenings will be 5:00- 10-:00 pm. The Sessions at McPike Park 2020 schedule will be added soon. Note the move totally to August to stay ahead of the Pandemic. Wish us luck.

Of course we will feature great food and drink and product vendors for your enjoyment at these events that will benefit six non-profit agencies doing effective work in the community. A terrific raffle with over $4,500 in prizes to be won (drawing at the last session August 23rd) will funnel funds to these organizations* as will a unique profit sharing plan that will be in place again this year. Like we did in 2019 there will be 3 quick 10-item Mid- Course Correction Auctions August 13th. August 20th and 22nd. and 19th in front of the main stage (8:15 pm).
