🏳️⚧️ Statement of Support for the Trans & Non-Binary Community ✊🏽
As part of the Trans & Non-Binary Task Force of Come Out With Pride, we firmly stand with our fellow transgender and non-binary community members during these challenging times. Recent actions at the federal level have cast uncertainty over rights that should be unequivocally recognized as basic human rights.
Transgender rights are human rights and that is not up for debate. We remain committed to supporting every member of our community, and we will never stop advocating for equality and inclusion.
Now, more than ever, we must unite. We support peaceful protests, legal action, and community resilience, refuse to accept discrimination or regression, and uphold justice and equality for all.
The Trans & Non-Binary Task Force will continue undeterred in our mission: We aim to enhance the representation, visibility, and inclusivity of trans and non-binary individuals within the Central Florida community. This involves empowering local trans and non-binary leaders and establishing an intentional trans-centric collaborative spaces.
To our transgender and non-binary siblings: You are seen, you are valued, and you are loved. We will always stand with you, and encourage you to hold on to hope, knowing that when we come together, our voices are powerful. Progress may face obstacles, but it cannot be undone.
Together, we will continue to push forward. Together, we will protect one another. Together, we will remind the world that love and equality will always prevail.
