Hello there! I’m Courtney, the owner of Joyful Blooms Co. I am a high school floral design teacher by day and events/wedding florist by night. I graduated from Sam Houston State in 2013 with a degree in Agriculture and went back to SHSU to attain my Master of Education in 2019. While floral design is not in my educational background, once I started teaching it, I fell in love with all things floral design, and I guess you could say I picked up a knack for it. So, I have finally decided to give it a go and start my own business. Someone pinch me? My dream is for one day to open a floral shop/clothing boutique in my community.

You may be wondering how I came up with the name Joyful Blooms Co. Well, it is inspired by my lovely Grams, but everyone else calls her Joy. She embodies kindness and grace in every way imaginable. Her joyful demeanor has always been a guiding light for me, hence the name. Through Joyful Blooms Co., my mission is simple: to spread happiness through the language of flowers. With a decade of teaching experience shaping my journey, I remain committed to honing my craft and discovering new techniques along the way. More information to come!
