A little inspiration for your day✨

Heather was so passionate about starting Bitsy Bash to get back to the “who” and “what” is celebrated at her clients’ events. If the global pandemic taught us anything, it was to cherish life’s simple moments, to pause and reflect on the blessings that we have. Even when we could not physically be with our loved ones, we could still celebrate milestones in our lives.

What do you do when your holiday plans don’t go as planned? You make lemons from lemonade (or pumpkin bread from pumpkins) and host an intimate, carry-out dinner for three where you enjoy every unexpected store-bought moment and bite.

Take it from this event planner… No celebration goes off without a hitch, but in the end, it’s always exactly as it should be!

The bleached pinecone trend is one of our favorites for fall decorating. Only trouble is the whole bleach thing. We worked around it by dipping our hand-collected “cones” in a mixture of equal parts paint and water. Just wear disposable gloves and get dipping. Let them dry on a piece of cardboard and redip as needed for your desired level of coverage. Once done, use them on fall tables, wreaths, floral arrangements and more to create the perfect look for your next bash!

Luminaries are the perfect decoration for your fall porch. As the days get shorter, these lovely little lanterns will light up your front stairway, welcoming visitors into your home.

You can make your own fall luminaries using mason jars and tea lights. Or, you can cut fun fall shapes into paper bags for a more rustic look. Fill the bottom of the bag or jar with pebbles, sand, or festively colored marbles to anchor it to the ground. Then, put in some small battery-powered lights, and your luminaries are ready to shine.

We suggest making Halloween-themed luminaries for the big night. Trick-or-treaters and party-goers will have no trouble finding their way up to your porch for some tasty treats.

As someone who relies on visuals to stay organized, being able to see how my events will be set is essential to the event prep process. By creating table arrangements with paper, I can easily figure out where I need to place my decor, seats, pillows and more! Labeling these pieces of paper also helps coordinate colors! ✍🏼
