We are a huge supporter of the John C. Fremont Healthcare District! They’ve helped MANY of our close family including me (Caroline) bee allergy/ anaphylactic shock (so scary) stabilize and get to where we needed to be! Thank you John C! This Saturday at KALifornia nights we are also excited to have another new local downtown Mariposa business located on the same strip as The Fremont House and MAEitbehome as a vendor! If you haven’t checked them out you must! It’s the cutest shop with everything you would need for a charcuterie romantic picnic, a gift for a friend, or just a quick grab and go box for lunch with friends (or to indulge by yourself no judging - not guilty 🤫)

------- BBs Catering Review - I'd give it a million stars if I could!! ---------

I cannot recommend BBs catering enough!! Simply put, your life and your event will be better once you meet Caroline, her delicious food, and her incredible team. Everything was amazing - from the presentation, taste and flavors, to the planning and the people - you can't go wrong with BBs Catering!

Not only was it delicious, the food was prepared gorgeously. We started with the most beautiful and tasty grazing board I've EVER seen (and I LOVE cheese and charcuterie boards!!!). It was an incredible spread on a beautiful wood board made by Caroline's husband (who also helped man the grill!). For the main meal we opted for smaller finger foods and heavy horderves since we had a lack of seating available - the spread was fantastic and our extended family still talks about how tasty everything was nearly 3 years later!

They always say that you never eat enough at your wedding, but we didn't have that problem and the food wasn't just good, it was AMAZING!!! From the very beginning, Caroline listened carefully to things or flavors that we wanted to incorporate - and then made them absolutely fantastic. Caroline and her team made sure to set aside some of everything for my husband and I so that we wouldn't miss a thing while we were off taking couples photos. We also had a handful of gluten free guests as well as other dietary restrictions that they accommodated perfectly and made sure that there was plenty of food for them too. I loved how she incorporated local and organic foods whenever possible too. Do yourself a favor and trust her recommendations! She made the most amazing fresh herb dressing for a gluten free grain salad, and a lite and tasty beautiful green salad that pairs perfectly with the most scrumptious grass fed beef burger sliders you have ever tasted. We had several types of fresh fruit and veggie skewer bites, and each one was better than the next. Everything she makes is incredible - her coconut marinated chicken skewers with an almond butter sauce is to die for, and her crab cake bites I think are the best crab cakes I have ever had.

Apart from the amazing food, there is also no one I would have rather worked with. They were incredibly professional, on time, caring, and adaptive. Due to the pandemic and shut downs (we originally met with Caroline and did a menu taste test in January of 2020), we had to dramatically change our wedding plans; from a 200 person even outside of Yosemite, with about a months notice we shifted to a 50 person family gathering in Sequoia National Forest. They brought large grills with them and used our small mountain kitchen to make an incredible spread (pictures attached!). BBs catering never added to the stress of wedding planning; they always alleviated it and were a very joyous part of our wedding.

With so many last minute changes, I completely forgot to order a wedding cake. Caroline coordinated getting delicious mini cupcakes from a local baker near her and we bought a small cake to cut from Whole Foods that she decorated and plated beautifully to make it look so much more gourmet than it was. I'm telling you, if you are anywhere near the Mariposa area and aren't working with BBs Catering - you are making a mistake!!!

Meet Brittany Kitchen - our first time ever aerialist at KALifornia Nights! THIS SATURDAY! Brittany and Mana Fire Dancers are choreographing a fun performance together!

Brittany Kitchen has been an aerialist for 8 years now. Moving from dance student in college to aerial teacher and performer. Brittany has been performing since 2016 and specializes in aerial silks, hammock, and Lyra. Although she is very versatile and can perform many styles her natural movement is described as elegant and graceful.
